John Mitchell, Is an Irish born Fighter out of MMA Cork who began competing in MMA in 2015. He is a current 3x time Cage Legacy Welterweight Champion. The reigning Akuma Lightweight Champion & Celtic Gladiator Super-Welterweight Champion making him a 3 weight division champion across multiple organisations, John has also represented Ireland at the World Championships, John unbelievably boxed at light-heavyweight in the University Boxing Champion 2016. With his last fight just behind him gaining victory in the Akuma Fighting Championships John’s next fight will be in the pro ranks.
John’s Amateur record stands at 11-3 (W/L) as he now turns pro looking to cause havoc in the pro ranks. Mitchell originally started boxing when he was living with his dad in Cavan then when he was back in Cork he joined forces with Siam Warriors and BJJ Cork and went from there meeting his long-time coach Arann Maguire, in what was the perfect chance meeting on your first night in MMA. What has separated John from every other fighter in Europe is his rate of progression. John has always been athletic and had bee touted to row for Ireland in the Olympics as a young man but hand to hand combat has always been top of Johns mind. John has consistently been in against the best guys in every division at different weights each time. He made my debut in September 2015 and only 10 months later he was in his third Championship Fight.
